HP printers are renowned for being sleek, efficient, and good for modern-day printing needs.

Unfortunately, this does not mean your HP printer is going to work as you want it to. There could be a scenario where the HP printer is not printing everything on the page.

If the HP printer is not printing everything on the page, go to Manage Your device, click Printing Preferences, go to Paper, and make sure it’s set to Plain Paper. Next, set Print Quality to Draft/Normal.

It’s possible the print settings got changed, which caused the printing to become off-center or to not print the right way.

If you take the time to work your way through the settings, you will correct the issue and make sure the HP printer works as it is supposed to. Whether the HP printer is printing half of the page or not, you will want to make sure the settings are in good standing.

This article will take a look at how to fix an HP printer that is not printing everyone on the page.

How To Repair HP Printer Not Printing Everything On Page

1. Check The Printing Preferences

When the HP printer is not printing the bottom of a page, it is likely a sign there is something amiss with the printer preferences.

You will need to go through the settings to figure out what that exact problem is.

For the most part, you will want to start by going to Manage Your Device. Once you do this, you will go to Printing Preferences to see what is happening with the paper.

In Printing Preferences, your goal is to look at what the underlying setting is.

It might not be set at Plain Paper, which is a sign the printer is not going to work the way you want it to.

2. Always Set To Plain Paper

When you get to this stage, you will want to make sure the Printing Preferences tab is set to Plain Paper.

You will find this under the paper section.

The goal is to make sure the device is aware that it needs to print on Plain Paper. When this does not take place, the HP printer will get confused and is not going to work as it is supposed to. It will continue to work based on the existing printing settings, which are not in tune with the paper that is being put into the device.

Be methodical while working through the settings as even a slight change will make it difficult to print properly.

You will also want to make sure the paper that is put into the printer is the right size. It should not be jamming inside the printer as that might be the reason for it not printing properly.

3. Set Print Quality To Normal

If the HP printer is not printing what is on the screen, it’s time to take a look at what the Print Quality setting has to say.

You will find this through Printing Preferences.

You will want to go to Print Quality to figure out what it is set at right now. When you get to this setting, you are going to put it to Normal. This is perfect for your printing needs and will ensure the entire page prints the way you want it to.

Please note that you can also go to the Graphics tab and set it to Standard. This will also work and do the same thing.

4. Re-Test The Printer

Now it is time to take a look at whether or not your changes have had a positive impact.

You will want to re-test the printer to make sure it works the way you want it to.

Be patient and re-test the printer by putting in plain paper and seeing if it works properly. It should print the entire page now. If it does not, you will want to go back to the settings and see if anything else needs to be changed.

You will also want to take the time to restart the HP printer to see if that refreshes everything.

Final Thoughts

These steps will help when your HP printer is not printing everything on the page.

If the HP printer is not printing everything on a page, start by going to Manage Your Device and clicking Printing Preferences. Once here, you are going to click Paper and change the setting to Plain Paper. Next, you are going to go to Print Quality and set it to Normal.

These settings are what you will need when printing using an HP printer.

Unless you do this, you are not going to get the results that you crave.

It is also important to use the right type of paper and make sure the ink cartridges are set properly.
